Former Residents' Interest in Upcoming Memorial for Glenn Home Growing

Over the last month we have had the pleasure of hearing from several former residents, many of them from the 1940's - early 60's.  Including one gentleman who appears in the 1941 Christmas photo with Santa Clause.  Much history - both personal and statistical- has been learned from these folks that has been missing.  We are very grateful and glad that the community- especially the former Glenn residents- are welcoming this memorial.  Perhaps some old friendships will be renewed through this!

My brother, Ernie, and half brothers Tony Frankie, and half sister, Roseann Coveliskie were in the Glenn Home. Except for about three (3) years, I was in the Home from 1944 to 1957. I would like to hear from any folks who were in the Home during that time. :)

My sister Mable and I were also at the Glenn Home from approx. 1953/54-1955/57. I also had another sister Sharon Faye born in 1954 and a brother Billy Edward Adkins that passed away in 1950. A half-brother Billy Williams was also a resident there but I don't know what year as he is older than I am. I would like to meet him someday. But like me, he is bitter over our past.

I also lived at the Glenn Home. I resided there for the last five years the home was open. I also have bitter feelings over the past and have had a hard time understanding why everything that happened back then took place. I would love to hear from anyone who would like to share their own experiences of the home. I am currently collecting information about the home for my family so they can understand what my childhood, as well as others, was like.
